FUNK COURSE
BASS GUITAR LESSONS
There's nothing quite like laying down the pocket with the drummer over a killer funk groove, as the rest of the band gives an approving side glance. One of the most popular styles of bass guitar playing, funk requires a great sense of timing, and should sound great played fast or slow (yes there's such a thing as slow funk).
In this course, you'll learn to introduce some red hot funk and sizzle into your playing style with a combination of tight fingerstyle funk, ghost notes and percussive slap/pop/tap. You'll also gain insights into getting the groove from listening to not just the drums but the entire band.
ESSENTIALS YOU'LL STUDY:
-
Advanced metronome exercises
-
Syncopation studies
-
Double stops
-
Ghost notes
-
Raking fingerstyle funk
-
Slap/pop & tap/hammer-on
-

... and more!
