Wendy Phua

wow, it’s been awhile since i wrote in. I was struck with the dreaded dengue fever and was entombed in the hospital for about a week PLUS another week of recovery, hence the long absence from this blog.

however, it was with much determination that I decided to continue with the plan of performing at the Arts House for Tonequest and I am so glad I did the show. It was very well, turnout far exceeded expectations (including that of the organise), AND my bass solo tunes got an audience for the very first time!

For those who did not make it down, I played “Stormy Weather” - a brand new piece which included an intro using the violin bow on my bass, and “Sojourn” which you can hear on myspace.com/wendyphua. I will be uploading a video of “Stormy Weather” on this web very soon. Mean while you can view some pictures taken at the gig under the “Photos” section of this web.

I’m currently working on more songs for my solo album and will be posting more on the process of my recording now that I’m DONE with dengue. ciao for now
